Model Railroad Tracker is the all-in-one management tool for serious model railroaders. Whether you operate a small switching layout or a multi-level empire with hundreds of pieces of rolling stock, Tracker keeps everything organized and at your fingertips.

Rolling Stock Inventory
Maintain a complete database of every locomotive, freight car, passenger car, and structure in your collection. Track manufacturer, road number, scale, purchase date, price, and condition. Scan barcodes to auto-fill item details, and use AI-powered photo identification to catalog new acquisitions quickly.
Layout Planning & Operations
Document your layout with a full track plan — define locations, named tracks, and capacity. Plan operating sessions with consists, waybills, switch lists, and car forwarding documents. Run prototypical operations with the same systematic approach the real railroads use.
Maintenance & Service Logs
Never lose track of when you last lubricated a locomotive or installed a DCC decoder. The service log keeps a full maintenance history for every piece of equipment.
Wishlist & Lending Tracker
Track items you want to buy with target prices, and record items loaned to other collectors with expected return dates and overdue alerts.
Backup & Export
Export your collection to JSON or a formatted insurance PDF. Back up your database via the OS share sheet to iCloud, Google Drive, or OneDrive.
Technical Details
- Platform: Currently in beta on Windows 11. Android and iOS coming in the future.
